We also have some free tips for visiting in Amsterdam:

Cheap shopping
The best cheap shopping options in Amsterdam are the two big and famous outdoor markets. The most central one is the Waterlooplein Flea Market. This market is opened from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m on Mondays until Saturdays (take tram 9 or 14). It has a combination of used items and clothes, mixed with lots of new stuff and plenty of unusual things as well. The more distant one is the Albert Cuypmarket, which can be found just close to the Heineken Experience Centre. This huge street market goes on for 6 blocks and is opened from 9:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Mondays until Saturdays. You can find cheap fashion clothes, delicious food and electronics.

Take a free ferry ride across the river
You can see every day a beautiful view of the IJ from the ferry Buiksloterwegveer, which departs from the Ruyterkade behind Central Station. The trip only takes a few minutes from ferry 50, 51, 52, 53. It goes on daily trips between 06.30 a.m. and 21.00 p.m. every 7.5 minutes and after 21.00 p.m. it will go each 15 minutes.

Go to Vondelpark
The Vondelpark is the city's central park. Especially in the summer, or with the nice weather lately, it’s always jammed with people sunbathing and goofing around. There are free concerts at the Open Air Theater from Wednesdays until Sundays in June, July, and August. Furthermore, every Friday night at 8 p.m. hundreds of people on skates meet during the Friday Skate Night: a group skating session that snakes through Amsterdam.

Have fun exploring Amsterdam and go to our poll on http://www.facebook.com/budgettipsfortravelling to win a free day of visiting this wonderful city with the I Amsterdam City Card!
